My 15-second pitch
Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to look through my portfolio. My name is Sun Vongfak, and I’m an illustration student looking to make my mark in the design industry. I’ve organized my portfolio into different categories of work for convenience. If you want to know more about me, please scroll down for my biography.
Sun Vongfak (they/them) is a bright student with an even brighter future. Graduating from Pasadena Community College (PCC) in Spring 2023 with an Associates in Studio Arts and having transferred to ArtCenter College of Design (ACCD) in the Fall 2023 to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Illustration, Sun is a promising young artist who’s looking to make their mark in the design industry.
Starting their pursuit of art from a young age, they are a fresh visionary and storyteller who pours their soul into their work. Having had their life shaped through animation, graphic novels, and video games, they have developed a passion for original stories told through different, interesting means. Their hope is that one day their stories may touch the hearts of others, as art has done for them.
Sun’s Story
With too much creativity and imagination to contain within themselves, they pursue personal projects that strengthen their skills in adaptability, problem solving, and storytelling. Oftentimes trying new forms of artistic mediums with little to no guidance, leading to interesting outcomes and varying levels of success.
Sun never stops improving their attempts until they’ve found a personal sense of success, which means they're constantly pushing themselves and raising the bar. They’re both spontaneous, yet thoughtful in all their work and their creativity is infectious.
However, while Sun may be described as overly ambitious, they are not all work and no play. When they aren’t pursuing a new project, they can usually be found watching documentaries, reading fantasy-romcoms, playing games with friends, or caring for their birds.
They raise doves and never skip an opportunity to talk about them.
